Light Shining out of Darkness

Deep in unfathomable mines Of never-failing skill, He treasures up his bright designs, And works his sov'reign will." In his poem Light Shining out of Darkness, William Cowper delivers the message that every little thing that God does in our life will follow according to his perfect plan. He starts off the poem saying “God moves in a mysterious way,” God’s ways are so incomprehensible that no one can mimic them. By saying “Of never-failing skill” Cowper tells his readers that His skill will never end. His designs for our life are benefiting His “sov'reign will.” God will always do the things He does according to His purpose and plan for our life. We cannot change His plan to become any better than it already is. God knows best and His will is perfect....
